Job Description:
As a Crew Member, you will be responsible for executing various tasks related to landscaping and grounds maintenance for commercial properties. Working under the direction of a Crew Leader or Supervisor, you will contribute to creating and maintaining visually appealing and well-maintained outdoor spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Landscape Maintenance:
•
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding.
•
Plant flowers, trees, and shrubs according to landscape plans.
•
Conduct regular inspections of plant health and address any issues.
•
Hardscape Maintenance:
•
Maintain and repair features such as walkways, patios, and other hardscape elements.
•
Clean and pressure wash hardscape surfaces as needed.
•
Equipment Operation:
•
Operate and maintain landscape equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools.
•
Ensure all equipment is used safely and report any malfunctions.
•
Irrigation Systems:
•
Monitor and adjust irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants.
•
Identify and repair irrigation system issues.
•
Seasonal Tasks:
•
Assist with seasonal tasks such as leaf removal, snow removal, and seasonal planting.
•
Safety Compliance:
•
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
•
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
•
Team Collaboration:
•
Work collaboratively with other crew members and follow instructions from supervisors.
•
Communicate effectively within the team.
Qualifications:
•
Previous experience in commercial landscaping or a related field.
•
Knowledge of plants, trees, and landscaping techniques.
•
Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment.
•
Physical fitness and ability to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
•
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Education and Certification:
•
High school diploma or equivalent.
•
Relevant certifications in landscaping or horticulture (optional).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
