Job Overview

If you don't melt in the rain or cry in the heat, we are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Landscaper who takes pride in their work, or willing to learn how to. The ideal candidate must be or become skilled in cutting grass showcasing neat lines, maintaining the rest of the landscapes to an equally high standard, and ensuring that all work is done professionally and efficiently. If you know how to push snow, or willing to learn, we can offer full time year around work. We require someone who is punctual, hardworking, and committed to a drug- and alcohol-free work environment. If this sounds like you, keep reading!


Job Responsibilities:

Must not consume alcohol or drugs while on the job or during company time. This is grounds for immediate termination.
Must not smoke or vape in our trucks or in front of customers. This is grounds for immediate termination.
Show up on time and be reliable. Time off is not approved during peak season (April to July, and September to October, and any Snow Events).
You understand all positions during Winter Events require to provide flexible hours, with availability for on-call or emergency dispatching, particularly during snowstorms or urgent service needs.
Must clock in and out correctly.
Must be able to look at a site map and understand the property lines, take before photos prior to start work
Mow, trim, and edge lawns with precision to create clean, professional lines.
Remove trash, weeds, debris, and dead plants to keep landscapes looking neat.
Plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance outdoor spaces.
Strong attention to detail, especially when cutting grass and trimming plant life, and cleaning the debris up.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, like the rain, and the heat of the summer.
Ability to work outdoors with animals and stinging/biting insects.
Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and blowers, keep them clean, parts in good working order, & blades kept sharp.
Apply fertilizers and treatments as needed to maintain healthy plant growth.
Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment.
Work efficiently and complete jobs to the highest standard on time.
Maintain a professional attitude and work ethic at all times.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients, understanding their landscaping needs, and addressing any concerns or requests.
Quality Control: Ensure that all landscaping work meets high-quality standards and company expectations for safety, appearance, and functionality.
Safety: Follow proper safety procedures and use equipment in a safe manner. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all landscaping tools and equipment are properly maintained and report any maintenance needs or breakdowns.
Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise during the course of the workday, whether related to the crew, equipment, or customer requests.
Inventory Management: Properly report usage of materials, plants, and equipment to ensure our systems show what is properly stocked.
Must be reliable, responsible, and take pride in doing a quality job.
Other duties as assigned, such as but not limited to Snow Removal, Hand Portering, Pressure Washing, Shop Cleaning, etc


Qualifications:

Knowledge: Strong knowledge of landscaping practices, tools, and equipment. Experience with planting, mulching, irrigation systems, and lawn care is preferred.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform manual labor, lift heavy materials, and work in various weather conditions for extended periods.
Safety-Conscious: Knowledge of safety standards and practices when using landscaping equipment and working on job sites.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to interact with clients, crew members, and supervisors.
Organization: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
A CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is a plus but not required
Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet and make quick decisions to keep projects on track and address any issues that arise.
