Hours: M-TH 5:30 am - 4:00 pm with OT available as needed

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Laser Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser cutting machines to fabricate metal, plastic, or other materials as per customer specifications. The ideal candidate should have experience working with laser equipment, possess strong technical skills, and be committed to ensuring high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities:
•Set up and operate laser cutting machines according to job orders and specifications.
•Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical data to configure the laser for precise cuts.
•Perform material loading, positioning, and securing on laser machines.
•Monitor the laser cutting process to ensure accuracy and quality.
•Adjust machine settings for optimal performance based on material type and job requirements.
•Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laser machines to prevent downtime.
•Inspect finished products for accuracy, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.
•Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
•Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
•Record production data and report any issues or defects promptly.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
•Previous experience as a Laser Operator or in a similar manufacturing role.
•Familiarity with CNC and laser cutting machines (e.g., Trumpf, Amada, Bystronic, etc.).
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
•Strong understanding of materials, cutting parameters, and machine setup.
•Basic computer skills and experience with machine programming is preferred.
•Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials when necessary.
Work Environment:
•Manufacturing or fabrication facility with exposure to machinery noise, dust, and industrial materials.
•Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
•Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, if needed.
