Lead, Compliance, Risk & Audits

Reporting to the General Manager, the Business Compliance, Risk, and Audit Lead will manage and coordinate all aspects of governance, compliance, risk management and audits for Côté Gold. The incumbent will direct governance, risk and audit activities, ensure compliance in all fields, and ensure that mitigation and corrective actions are completed on time. Coordination with all departments, follow-up, and reporting are key elements of the Compliance, Risk and Audit Lead role.

Area 1

Key Areas of Responsibility & Duties:

Lead and coordinate all aspects related to risk management, which includes facilitating risk reviews.

Area 2

Develop the internal audit strategy and provide guidance to Côté Gold leaders

Area 3

Lead and coordinate all aspects related to compliance.

Safety & Sustainability Expectations

Maintain a cooperative interest in the health and safety of yourself, your fellow workers and local communities. Wear PPEs at all times if in production environments. Be alert and observe, correct and report unsafe conditions. Follow operating procedures and comply with all regulatory requirements. Ensure that work areas are in compliance with all of IAMGOLD’s Health and Safety policies and the Occupational Health and Safety Acts in the applicable jurisdiction. Intervene as necessary, to ensure the safety of others in the workplace. Provide safety leadership by always setting a good example.

Integrates theoretical concepts or original approaches to resolve problems and complete projects or assignments.

Work is reviewed for attainment of objectives and effectiveness of results, as well as the alignment of work with other functions within the organization. Provides general direction to staff with emphasis on the execution of plans and delivery of services. Work impacts operations and processes in other areas across the organization.
