The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are adding a Lighting Project Developer to our growing Energy division in Seattle, WA. As a Lighting Project Developer, you will support the development and execution of lighting projects, collaborating with project managers and design teams to create energy-efficient solutions that meet client objectives while gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle and building technical proficiency. Additionally, some responsibilities you will have include:

Support the development of lighting designs under the guidance of senior team members, focusing on meeting client needs, energy savings targets, and cost effective criteria.

•

Assist in performing energy savings calculations and cost-benefit analyses for lighting solutions, contributing to proposal development.

•

Collaborate with project teams to analyze lighting systems, create detailed layouts, and document lighting controls.

•

Participate in field audits to assess current lighting systems and inform design recommendations.

•

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on project processes, technical designs, and workflow standardization.

•

Communicate effectively with vendors, contractors, and clients to gather product information and ensure project requirements are met.

•

Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

•

1-3 years in lighting, energy efficiency, or project development.

•

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.

•

Certifications: Preferred - Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional In Training (CLEP-IT).

•

Basic familiarity with lighting design software (e.g., AGI32) and tools like AutoCAD or Revit.

•

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with SharePoint and data analysis tools preferred.

•

Foundational knowledge of lighting systems and controls.

•

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

The pay range for this position is $76,320 - $122,200 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
