Energy Select is looking for an entry-level installer to join our team in retrofitting and installing LED lighting systems in commercial buildings. As a certified contractor for SMECO for over 10 years, we partner with businesses across the SMECO region to deliver energy-efficient lighting solutions. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that promote sustainability and reduce energy costs.

Job Summary:

Energy Select is seeking beginner installers. A positive attitude and being mechanically inclined are the two most important qualities you need. As part of a team, you will retrofit outdated lighting systems to energy-efficient LEDs. This includes installing new fixtures, switches, wiring, and other lighting components to create modern, sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities:

Assist with installing lighting systems, including LED fixtures, wiring, ballasts, switches

Perform quality checks to ensure that all components are securely installed, and systems function optimally.

Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions and leadership of a foreman

Ability to safely handle tools and materials such as: ladders, inverters, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment

Ability to work in all environments

Work requires physical exertion, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Must be able to pass criminal background check and random drug tests

Must have a valid driver’s license and your own transportation

Acquire knowledge of all items on material lists

Ability to learn how to layout and run pipe and wire

Ability to work well with customers, respecting their business as you work

Knowledge of safety guidelines

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
