Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Lighting Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lighting systems and the ability to work collaboratively in various settings, including live events, theater productions, and film sets. As a Lighting Technician, you will play a crucial role in creating the desired ambiance and visual effects through effective lighting design and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
•Perform engineering and distribution-related tasks, including lighting design and distribution planning.
•Work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
•Conduct fieldwork, requiring the ability to walk on uneven terrain and endure extreme temperatures.
•Use basic tools (e.g., hammering stakes into the ground) for field assessments and installations.
•Utilize Microsoft Office and APC priority computer programs to complete technical and administrative tasks.
•Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related Technical field (preferred).
•Experience in SOCO Distribution/Transmission or SOCO Co-op program (preferred).
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and APC priority computer programs.
•Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
•Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (car or truck).
•Ability to work outdoors in Alabama’s extreme weather conditions.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
