Local CDL A Driver

Local Class A CDL Driver – Roanoke, VA

Pay Rate: $20-$25 DOE

Shift: Day 40+ hrs/week

Type: Full Time

Job Duties:

· Ensure the safe and timely delivery of various steel products to include but not limited to Beams, Flat Bar, Rebar, Steel Plates, and Expanded Metal

· Ensure that materials loaded are safely loaded, secured properly and are the correct items listed on manifest

o During inclement weather loads may need to be tarped

· 100% No Touch

o SSI warehouse will load the trailer each day

o CDL Driver is to not unload material for the customer

o Lifting – not to exceed 25 lbs.

· Ensure serviceability of tractor and trailer by performing daily pre trip inspections as outlined by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations

· Maintain electronic logs as defined by DOT and FMCSA regulations

Requirements:

· Valid Class A CDL with current DOT physical

· Clean MVR report with no more that 2 minor moving violations in the past 3 years

· No DUI’s or Reckless Driving convictions within 5 years
