Machine Operator for 3rd Shift

Rable Machine (an Employee-Owned company) is looking for motivated individuals to join our team of employee owners as CNC or Swiss Operators. This person in this role will be responsible for producing machined parts by setting up and operating; maintaining quality standards; keeping production records; maintaining a standard of cleanliness and performing basic preventative maintenance on equipment.

An hourly wage will be offered based on skill level and experience.

Responsibilities:

· Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

· Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers.

· Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.

· Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-article part, and sample workpieces.

· Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality procedures and processes.

· Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

· Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

· Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

· Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

Physical Demands:

· Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, squat and stretch to reach various CNC and components.

· Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
