Mainline Excavator Operator

Job Description

FPS Civil is looking for highly experienced Mainline Excavator Operators to excavate and install sanitary sewer systems, storm water systems, and water line systems to precise standards of accuracy. Candidates must be able to safely dig in the presence of fellow construction workers and around existing utilities to ensure the safety of all persons, equipment, property, and utilities in the work zone. Other tasks will include ensuring trenches are excavated to the proper depth/grade by checking grades with instruments such as lasers, grade rods, and transit levels, operating a front-end loader to screen backfill material, perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections on equipment daily, maintain equipment logs, identify, and address potential safety concerns, and ensure a clean and safe working environment at all times.
