Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background. You will play a key role in supporting daily facility maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
•
Perform routine maintenance tasks, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
•
Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
•
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
•
Maintain trash and chip hoppers
•
Monitor and maintain coolant recycling
•
Troubleshoot and diagnose machine malfunctions
•
Repair machines and equipment as required
•
Schedule and oversee any outside maintenance help as required
•
Help plan and implement new equipment installations and assemblies
•
Work under direct supervision
•
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
•
Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience
•
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
•
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
•
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
•
Forklift experience
•
Positive attitude
•
High School diploma or equivalent
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
