Full-Time

A typical week will be 4 days with 10-hour shifts. Typically, Monday – Thursday 4 p.m. – 2 a.m. but may change due to the needs of the plant.

Pay: Starting at $24.50 per hour. This includes a $22.50 base pay + a $2.00/hr. for shift differential. Candidates may be eligible for higher base pay depending on experience and skill set.

Please advise that this position is designated as a 2nd shift position, however with this being a new team, new hires will start on day shift to learn the position and be trained. Shift differential will go into effect once the team transitions to second shift.


Rogers Group Inc. is seeking 2nd shift Maintenance Technicians for our operation located in Kentland, IN. Newton County Stone is an open pit limestone mine and quarry. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but not limited to:

Routine equipment/plant maintenance
Involved with plant improvement projects
Inspect and perform daily repairs and maintenance on plant
Inspect and maintain crushers, conveyors, screens, and other equipment
Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management
Operate equipment and tools with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency
Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment
Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

Must always have a dedication to safe work practices
Previous maintenance experience
Experience welding and cutting is preferred
Mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed
Must be willing to work a regular evening shift
Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
Must be willing to work outside in a variety of conditions
Team player attitude
Must pass pre-employment drug screening


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with conveyor maintenance and repair is preferred
Working knowledge of quarry utilities and equipment including crushers, conveyors, scales, etc.
Strong welding / fabrication background.
