Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. We deliver approximately 890,000 barrels of petroleum products each day through a dual pipeline system of more than 1,150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta, British Columbia and Washington state.

Trans Mountain also operates a state-of-the-art loading facility, Westridge Marine Terminal, with three berths providing tidewater access to global markets.

As a Manager, Edmonton Terminal with Trans Mountain, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a progressive and fast-paced group of experts in the Operations department. This position is located in the

Edmonton Terminal.

Reporting to the Director of Edmonton Terminal & Control Centre, this pivotal role is responsible for overseeing operational risk management at the Edmonton Terminal. Working collaboratively with fellow managers, the Manager will identify and address both immediate and long-term operational risks, issues and concerns. This role provides strategic leadership to a multidisciplinary team - including technical trades, operators, pipeline maintenance, protection, and emergency response personnel - to ensure operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory standards, while upholding the company’s values and culture.

Key Responsibilities

Plans and manages budget for area of responsibility.
Manages regulatory and company compliance requirements for area of responsibility.
Plans and manages daily work responsibilities for direct reports.

+ Manages and supports direct reports through coaching, performance management, and training.

Supports the facilitation of training and completion of competencies for direct reports.
Works collaboratively with other Trans Mountain districts and departments.
Leads Internal and External Communications.

+ Conducts regular staff meetings. Safety, operations, compliance, etc. + Interacts with external stakeholders as required.

Acts as a champion of company values and safety culture.


Qualifications And Professional Experience

Minimum 10 years’ experience in an engineering or industrial plant or facilities setting, preferably Operations related.
Bachelor’s degree and/or Technical Diploma and/or Journeyman trade certification in a related field is preferred.
A valid provincial driver's license is required.
Commercial or heavy equipment certification or license is preferred.
Proven leadership experience with a background in supervising teams.
Demonstrated fluency with administrative processes and technology tools, including Microsoft Office and D365.
Strong organizational, managerial, and leadership capabilities.
Skilled in conflict resolution and emergency response.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues and make sound, timely decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, multitasking environment with strong attention to detail.
