Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to support our weld and fabrication operations at our Topeka and Manhattan facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, improving productivity and increase quality in weld and fabrication operations. This position will ensure compliance with safety and industry standards while working closely with the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field preferred or 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing or a weld shop environment (or equivalent hands-on experience). + Strong knowledge of welding processes including MIG, TIG, and robotic welding. + Familiarity with weld symbols, AWS standards, and quality inspection techniques. + Proficiency in CAD software (SolidEdge, AutoCAD, etc.) and manufacturing ERP systems. + Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. + Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

+ Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or similar certification. + Experience with robotic welding programming and automation. + Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
