The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for performing process development and manufacturing support functions of the plant. The Manufacturing Process Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, developing, implementing, and deploying approved processes and best practices consistently throughout their assigned area of responsibility with a focus on customer satisfaction, yield improvements, reducing costs, on time delivery and process efficiency optimization.
Essential Responsibilities:
•Develop manufacturing plans that include specific sequencing with Lean processes and tooling requirements.
•Ensure all defects are analyzed through to root cause and corrective actions are implemented and sustained.
•Interact with operators to identify practical solutions to problems and improve process stability and work techniques.
•Develops mechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators and manufacturers.
•Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
•Define display module level mechanical and performance requirements for fit, quality, and reliability.
•Communicate data and changes to product design, reliability, and senior management teams
•Identify open mechanical design issues and drive issues to closure in a timely fashion.
•Review designs for producibility, develop tooling concepts, and create applicable detailed work instructions and manufacturing procedures.

Educational/ Other Requirements:
•Associate or Technical Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
•3-5 years’ experience in supporting/developing production/manufacturing for high-volume commercial and/or military contract manufacturing.
•Experience with mechanical assembly of products.
•Ability to understand and interpret various mechanical documents, blueprints, and drawings.
•Familiarity with multiple manufacturing techniques such as machining, forming, welding, paint and assembly with various types of metals.
•Experience with simulation & analysis methods (FEA, CFD, and statistical tolerance analysis)
•Ability to work with 2D/3D software: SolidWorks and Solid Edge.
•Mature software skills with MS Office, SPC and shop floor management.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
