POSITION SUMMARY:

Marathon Petroleum Company is offering a maintenance internship opportunity within its Marine Repair Facility (MRF) in Catlettsburg, KY. We are looking for individuals who can contribute to our inclusive work environment. The Maintenance Intern will play a role in enabling our business to make informed decisions, adapt to change, and continuously improve. They will receive meaningful hands-on experience by rotating through different areas in the MRF, such as Barge Cleaning, Electric Shop, Motor Shop, and Weld Shop.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Barge Cleaners:

Perform activities in the Boiler Area, Tank Farm, Water Treatment Plant, and Vapor Control Unit such as:* Gauge tanks.

Electric Shop: Perform tasks, or assist an Electrician performing tasks, such as:* Boat and Barge PM’s.

Motor Shop: Perform tasks such as:* Perform basic PM tasks (Ex: Change out gaskets, tighten bolts on flanges, etc.).

Weld Shop: Perform shop work tasks, such as:* Shop welding.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:* High school diploma or GED required.
