Optimus is partnering with a leading energy company seeking a Market Risk Analyst to support their dynamic trading and risk management team. If you have experience in the commodity energy markets (power, gas , gasoline, crude, biofuel, feedstocks), strong analytical skills, and experience with risk modeling or P&L reporting, this could be the role for you!

✅ Daily risk reporting – Track market exposure, mark-to-market P&L, and ensure compliance with risk limits.

✅ Risk modeling & analytics – Assist in developing risk models and analyzing trade valuations.

✅ Market monitoring – Provide insights into portfolio performance, market movements, and trading strategies.

✅ Process optimization – Automate reporting, streamline workflows, and collaborate with IT to enhance risk systems.

🌟 What You Bring to the Table:

✔ 2-10 years in market risk and trading analytics in a commodity trading environment.

✔ Experience with ETRM systems (RightAngle, Endur, or similar) and data analytics tools (Power BI, SQL, Python, VBA, R).

✔ Strong understanding of energy markets, financial instruments, and risk controls.

✔ A problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze complex data and present insights clearly.
