Job Summary

This position is responsible for working on data analysis projects that gather and integrate large volumes of data, performs analysis, interprets results, and develops actionable insights and recommendations for use across the company. This includes data mining, data auditing, aggregation, validation, reconciliation, and visualization. This position must have a working knowledge of analytics and statistical software such as SQL, R/Rshiny, Python, SAS, PowerBI, Excel, and others to perform analysis and interpret data.

Apply statistics, computer science, and business analytics skills to conduct studies and develop advanced analytical tools to aid in solving high-value business problems across AEP. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to identify risks/opportunities with data-driven insights. Develop predictive and prescriptive systems to optimize operations and support strategic initiatives, using cutting edge information technology and data science methods. Design and deliver clear and succinct messages utilizing appropriate visualization methods to support management decision making.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Develop moderately complex analytical tools to solve high-value business problems across AEP - working on moderately complex projects:* Proficiently utilize analytical tools and data management skills to provide actionable business intelligence.

Consult with business unit partners to identify, prioritize, and develop actionable, insight providing analyses across a variety of core business areas:* Utilize inquiry skills to obtain a clear understanding of business processes and needs.

Essential function: Provide meaningful, concise reporting of analytic results:* Develop concise meaningful written reports and provide oral presentation of information.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education:

Bachelor's degree in mathematics, operations research, applied statistics, economics, data science or a related quantitative

discipline.

Experience:

2 years of relevant work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Preferred Requirements:* Experience with analytics packages, such as SAS, R, SPSS

Compensation Range:

$85,081.00-106,352.50 USD
