Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Master Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing electrical projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and providing guidance to other electricians.
Key Responsibilities:
•Conduct site assessments to identify electrical equipment that requires Arc Flash Labels (e.g., electrical panels, transformers, switchgear, and other high-voltage equipment).
•Install Arc Flash labels in compliance with safety standards (NFPA 70E, CSA Z462), including accurate hazard information such as incident energy levels, boundaries, and required personal protective equipment (PPE).
•Review Arc Flash Hazard Analysis reports and drawings to ensure proper label placement and information accuracy.
•Work with engineers or safety teams to gather relevant data for label content (incident energy, fault current, etc.).
•Ensure that all Arc Flash labels are durable, legible, and meet regulatory requirements.
•Maintain proper documentation of label installations for audit purposes and regulatory compliance.
•Provide expert guidance to clients and staff regarding the correct installation and maintenance of Arc Flash labels.
•Ensure safe working practices are followed during installation, with a focus on minimizing any electrical hazards.
•Provide support during safety audits and inspections related to Arc Flash compliance.
•Provide trainings to the client Operational Staff
•Review of Electrical Safety Programs
Qualifications:
•License: Valid Master Electrician license in Ontario, Toronto (ECRA/ESA).
•Experience: Minimum of 10 to 15 years of hands-on experience in electrical work, with a focus on electrical safety and labeling, preferably with Arc Flash labeling and compliance.
•In-depth understanding of Arc Flash labeling requirements and electrical safety standards (NFPA 70E, CSA Z462).
•Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including panel boards, switchgear, transformers, and other critical equipment of power distribution system.
•Ability to interpret electrical drawings and Arc Flash study results to ensure accurate label content.
•Experience using safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing electrical work.
•Strong attention to detail and commitment to ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
•Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, team members, and regulatory authorities.
•Ability to work independently, while also being a part of a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Certification or training in Arc Flash Hazard Analysis or Electrical Safety Compliance.
•Experience using Arc Flash labeling tools or software.
•Ability to provide recommendations for ongoing electrical safety improvements based on label installations
