Primary Responsibilities:
•Operate, test, repair, calibrate and install gas measurement, flow control, pressure control and gas quality analytical equipment.
•Required to work on Natural Gas Measurement Meters such as orifice meters, v-cones etc…
•Work to include the calibrating, troubleshooting, dismantling, repairing, rebuilding, assembling and testing of this equipment.
•Be able to perform contractual and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) tariff testing and calibration of measurement facilities, including flow computers, and related transmitters to Federal Standards and Requirments.
•Must understand the operating principles of orifice, positive displacement, Turbin, Barton Chart Meters, LACT Meters, Thermofisher, TotalFlow, and ROC EFM’s , and be able to calculate gas flows.
•Comply with all FERC, DOT and OSHA guidelines, rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
Required:
•Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
•At least one (1) years of experience with Measurement and / or Instrumentation & Electrical and /or operations
•Experience with gas and liquid product measurement, handling and quality including volumetric and mass measurement
•Have knowledge and experience in theory, operation and troubleshooting the components that make up a volumetric and mass measurement metering system and design that meet industry standards
•Experience with both electronic and pneumatic controls
•High level of knowledge and experience with orifice turbine, coriolis, and meters including tank measurement, proving systems and flow computers
•Be willing to work after hours, nights, and weekend shifts
•Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
•Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
•Be team oriented, and internal and external customer focused.
•Detail orientated to be complete calibration tasks completely to meet regulatory standards and requirements.
Preferred:
•Obtained an Associate’s degree from a technical school
•Hold a minimum total of one (1) year experience as a Measurement Technician / I&E Technician.
