About This Job

Ability Engineering Technology, Inc is seeking a Mechanical Designer/Drafter with a background in mechanical fabrication such as piping systems, pressure vessels and custom assemblies.

Essential Functions:

•

Work closely with our Chief Engineer and the rest of the AET team in developing, designing, and manufacturing cost effective equipment for use in a variety of process applications.

•

Assist in project tracking and analysis.

•

Support commercial and operational activities that result in increased revenue, profitability, sustainable growth and customer satisfaction.

•

Assist with component sourcing and vendor management as necessary.

•

Interpret client requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems, and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and in budget.

•

Qualification Requirements:

•

Associate's Degree in Mechanical Drafting, Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or relevant work experience with references.

•

Minimum of 3 years mechanical drafting experience.

•

Ability to use mechanical engineering design and analysis tools including SolidWorks and CAD systems.

•

Knowledge of manufacturing process such as machining, welding, quality assurance, testing and assembly is helpful.

•

Familiarity with weld symbols highly desirable.

•

Ability to manage multiple projects and work with tight deadlines.

•

Good oral and written communication skills required.

•

Strong record of coordinating project work across multiple technical teams and disciplines.
