The work location is in Nunavik and the normal work schedule is 11 hours per day on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest.

Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, the Field Service Mechanic carries out maintenance and repairs on the mobile equipment used in surface operations. His responsibilities include:
•Respond to service calls from the operations.
•Diagnose on-site problems.
•Perform on-site repairs.
•Determine the cause and nature of failures to specify repair methods and means.
•Assist colleagues on-site with various tasks when necessary.
•Drive and maintain service vehicles.
•Adhere to the company's health and safety requirements and recommendations.
•Perform other related tasks associated with the position.
Qualifications
•Hold a Vocational Studies Diploma (DEP) in construction equipment mechanics or equivalent training.
•Have experience in the repair of mechanical vehicles.
•Possess experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
•Demonstrate strong diagnostic skills.
•Hold a valid Class 5 driver's license.
•Another asset would be having a Class 3 driver's license.
