Natural Gas Senior Account Manager

The Account Management team is a group of technical subject matter experts who partner closely with our Energy Advisors to provide best-in-class energy advisory services to our clients. We are seeking a Natural Gas Specialist to serve as the key resource for clients with unique natural gas needs. This role requires a deep understanding of both physical and financial market dynamics, retail pricing structures, and strategic supply management. What you’ll do:
•Collaborate with Energy Advisors in managing client relationships opposite top Tradition Energy clients, including Fortune 500 corporations and municipalities.
•Leverage regional market expertise and industry relationships to support long-term business objectives.
•Develop a deep understanding of utility and interstate pipeline tariffs, including operational and commercial aspects.
•Support transaction execution, including due diligence, documentation review, and deal closing activities for pipeline agreements.
•Design and implement comprehensive gas supply strategies aligned with client needs.
•Track wholesale power and gas price trends, identifying execution opportunities.
•Provide insight regarding energy and utility market developments across active deregulated power and gas markets in North America.
•Evaluate and monitor movements in retail energy supply rate components to inform product recommendations.
•Analyze energy consumption patterns and structure supply products to meet client’s budgetary goals.
Who you are:
•4+ years of experience in an operational role.
•In-depth knowledge of natural gas markets, pricing, and transportation.
•Familiarity with NAESB standard agreements; experience with flexible agreements (e.g., Asset Management Agreements) is a plus.
•Proven track record of successful deal closures and achieving commercial results in the energy sector.
•100% in-office role based in Boston, Stamford, Dallas, or Houston.
•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
•Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
•Strong analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into executive-level communications.
