Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Oil Engineer to join our team in Akhiok, Alaska. As an Oil Engineer, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe extraction, production, and refining of oil and alternative fuels. You will conduct research, analyze data, and design well drilling and extraction systems to ensure optimal performance and maximum productivity. Your expertise in oil engineering principles, advanced transportation, and alternative fuel technologies will be crucial in developing sustainable and environmentally friendly oil production practices.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct extensive research to identify potential oil reserves and evaluate their viability for extraction.
- Develop and implement drilling plans and systems to extract oil and alternative fuels efficiently and safely.
- Oversee the drilling and extraction process, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and practices.
- Analyze geological and reservoir data to determine appropriate drilling techniques, equipment, and methods.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including geologists, geophysicists, and environmental scientists to optimize production and minimize environmental impact.
- Monitor and maintain well performance by analyzing data from sensors and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to drilling and production operations.
- Develop and implement measures for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on current industry trends and technological advancements related to oil and alternative fuel extraction.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree is preferred.
- Relevant experience in oil engineering, preferably in alternative fuels and advanced transportation industry.
- Strong knowledge of oil extraction techniques, drilling operations, and reservoir engineering.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and best practices for sustainable oil production.
- Proficient in industry-specific software and tools for data analysis and reservoir modeling.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
