Some key responsibilities include:


Inventory Control:

Review and analyze inventory levels for accuracy and develop systems to improve the accuracy.

Handle all nonconforming materials and develop systems to reduce them.

Develop systems to improve inventory accuracy and allocate proper storage.

Evaluate operations processes to ensure these processes are cost effective, efficient, and safe.


Process Improvement/Quality Management System/Productivity:

Analyze warehouse processes and customer complaints to recommend improvements.

Ensure these processes are cost effective, efficient, and safe.

Evaluate the receiving and shipping process to ensure timely material handling.


Building and Equipment:

Perform routine inspections to ensure all building and equipment is properly maintained and operating efficiently.


Recommend necessary equipment to meet company goals.


Employee Development- Leadership/Management:


Assess staff requirements and make recommendations.

Regularly communicate goals, improvements and changes to operations employees.

Motivate and manage the operations team to meet company goals




Qualifications:


Proven experience in operations management


Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


Excellent communication and leadership abilities


Familiarity with Quality Management Systems
