Operations Summer Seasonal

About the Position

The Operations Summer Seasonal position works out of the Districts Operations Center performing a variety of entry level activities as needed.

This position is classified as summer seasonal and will not exceed a period of six (6) months between May and October. Working generally the same hours as operations personnel 40 hours per week.

This recruitment is for multiple vacancies for both Morton and Chehalis Operation locations.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Education and/or Experience:

Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or recognized technical/tradesman program. Other:* Must be 18 years old and be legal to work in the United States.

Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:* Must have a valid Driver’s license.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have working knowledge in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word. Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, climb stairs, bend, reach, uses hands to finger, handle, or feel, and stand for extended periods of time. Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 100 pounds. Required to speak and hear clearly when communicating over the telephone and in person. Must have good hand- eye coordination, color and night vision. Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to indoor and outdoor environments. Outdoor settings include all types of property and site conditions including open spaces, timberlands, urban developments, flat and hilly terrain, building construction sites, and road rights-of-way. Indoor settings include residential, commercial and industrial sites that can involve cramped spaces, moving machinery, etc. Individuals may be exposed to hazardous conditions, including but not limited to obstacles, heights, open trenches, highway traffic, electric lines, all types of vegetation, fiberglass insulation, paint fumes, wood preservatives, solvents, oils, and cleaning compounds. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
