Talley Sign Company located in Richmond VA is a full service sign design, manufacturing, installation and service company. We build some awesome signs and we are in need of an AWESOME Candidate to fill this position.

The responsibility's

1.) Responsible for following proper procedures preparing materials for finish.

2.) Fill voids and cavities with putty to attain a smooth surface.

3.)Sand primer or putty fillers with sanders to obtain a smooth finish.

4.)Fill containers with prescribed quantities of paint and thinners.

5.)Operates spray gun and booth to knowledge of painting technique ,to direct spray primer or finish coat (multiple colors) to work surfaces.

6.)May operate material handling equipment to transport materials to paint area or booth.

7.)Responsible for keeping paint equipment and area clean and organized.

8.)Responsible for all painted materials have touch-up for shipping or installation

9.)Adhere to all guidelines for hazardous waste disposal.

10.)Perform other duties as required to successfully meet needs of business

Knowledge :

1.) Ability to work alone or as part of a team.

2.)Ability to work with paint chemicals and solvents.

3.)Ability to operate a sander and spray booth equipment.

4.)Ability to work from verbal and written instructions.

5.)Ability to wear all PPE equipment as needed.

6.)Ability to distinguish colors and color acuity as required.

Working conditions: The following activities are required up to 100% of a typical work day.

1.) Stand and walk on concrete surface.

2.)Hear and smell

3.) Lift,pull and push up to 50 pounds with out assistances.

4.)Work around fumes or airborne particles.

5.) Work around paint chemicals and solvents.

The following activities are required up to 75% of a typical work day.

1.) Use hands or fingers to handle or feel.

2.)Reach with hands and arms.

3.)Stoop ,kneel, crouch ,or crawl.

4.)Move over rough or uneven surfaces.

5.) May require to stand or climb ladder to reach top of materials to paint.
