The Part-Time Apprenticeship Training Instructor is responsible for teaching and assisting in executing the four-year ELECTRICAL Apprenticeship Training Program. PM shift, 3:30pm-9pm. This program is a registered PA Department of Labor & Industry and Accredited Training Sponsor of the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). They will design and implement plans, training and development programs to improve individual and organizational performance. The instructor will also analyze training needs to support continuous improvement and establish a culture that encourages learning and development.
· Conducts technical and professional development training for participants of the Apprenticeship Training Program.
· Offers specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills.
· Monitors, evaluates, and records training activities and program effectiveness. Develops alternative training methods if expected improvements are realized.
· Keeps up with industry developments and obtains information for use in training programs by attending meetings or seminars and reading journals, books, or articles.
· Performs all tasks and duties in an efficient and safe manner.
· Performs other related duties as assigned or as necessary. Remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs.
· Represents Universal Electrical Service in a manner that conveys professionalism, confidentiality, courtesy, fairness, personal integrity, and respect for others.
· At least five (5) years of trade experience as an electrician
· Knowledge of all aspects of the electrical industry and applicable rules and regulations
· Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Word.
