Position Description:
Job Title: Experienced Pipe Welder/Pipe Fitter - Offshore Contract
Location: Departing from Fourchon, Louisiana (Offshore)
Job Type: Contract (5-6 weeks)
Schedule: 84 hours/week
Pay Rate: $28-$35/hour
Start Date: November
Job Requirements:
•
5+ years of offshore/shipyard experience as a Pipe Welder/Pipe Fitter
•
Ability to pass offshore medical evaluation and drug test
•
Valid certifications (e.g., AWS D1.1, ASME IX)
•
Experience with pipe welding processes (e.g., SMAW, GMAW, FCAW)
•
Familiarity with offshore/shipyard safety protocols
•
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications
Welding Test Requirements:
•
Location: Mobile, AL
•
Test Type: 6G Pipe Stick
•
Materials: Carbon steel, 4-6 pipe
•
Electrodes: 6010 and 7018
•
Position: 6G (45-degree fixed)
Responsibilities:
•
Weld and fit pipes according to specifications and codes
•
Conduct safety inspections and maintain a clean work environment
•
Collaborate with riggers, fitters, and other crew members
•
Meet productivity and quality standards
•
Install, maintain, and repair piping systems
