They are responsible for leading the strategy, planning, execution, and governance of the direction, development of the Nispera platform and value drivers, offerings, and features specifically directed at our Fluence Services team as well as serving our external clients’ Services needs.

Fluence Nispera™ Asset Performance Management (APM) Software

Nispera optimizes asset performance with real-time monitoring, automated reporting, and AI-powered analytics across an over 15.5 GW portfolio of wind, solar, hydro and storage assets globally. The cloud-based software leverages powerful machine learning models and visualization tools to help plant operators uncover hidden performance issues, minimize downtime, and maximize energy production.

In tight collaboration with the Fluence Digital regions, as well as the regional Fluence Services teams, this role will lead the product strategy, commercial strategy, and guide the development roadmap of the Nispera offerings based on ongoing customer and stakeholder feedback as it relates to our Services capabilities. Other members of the product management team (peers) are responsible for the various modalities of Nispera including Storage (BESS), Wind, Solar, and overall Platform capabilities thus ensuring we are focused on delivering value for all of the various users of Nispera.

This particular role will be responsible for delivering the following key elements for our Services capabilities in Nispera:

Product Strategy for Services … evaluating the Services APM market, customer requirements, competition, overall cost structure, and investments needed to compete and win. This is typically refreshed annually and revisited periodically as the market and customer needs evolve.
Services focused Product Offerings within Nispera … including templates with standard scope for various levels and configurations of the offerings, including scope, pricing, cost elements, margin requirements, and delivery terms and conditions.
Product Development Roadmap for Nispera Services features … working closely with Engineering, the Product Manager will set and adjust development programs and priorities as well as determine funding levels for each program based on ROI/returns, and strategic value.
Global and regional pricing standards and guidelines including setting the list prices and scope for the offerings, evaluating and setting internal transfer prices or revenue recognition methods, and working closely with Marketing and Sales Operations.
Integrated Sales (BESS and Services) product structure & results, ensuring Digital offerings are presented along with our Services contracts, and where appropriate and possible, embedded or attached in various Storage and Services proposals. A critical KPI for this role will be in securing “attached” Nispera contracts to enable our Services and Storage teams win on differentiated value in the market.

The Product Manager for Nispera - Services is a leadership role with customer-facing elements – with opportunities to interact and negotiate directly with customers when necessary or to help in the sales process as needed. Furthermore, the Product Manager will work closely with the Director of Sales Operations to ensure alignment in delivering value-added services and maximizing client outcomes during the contracting period.

The role will be based in Fluence’s Houston, TX offices will report to the Nispera Product Director along with close interaction with the Global Services leadership, Regions, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, and the Projects (BESS) elements of Fluence.

Travel between these locations can be expected at times and frequent (weekly) remote digital communication will be essential. Travel is expected to be 10-15% of the time spent leading the product.

The team currently has ~10 colleagues, and is expected to grow rapidly as we increase the number of clients and contracts secured. There are several indirect technical sales team members located in the three major regions that will also require collaboration and ongoing support from the product team. The Nispera engineering team is also involved in the execution of the programs and represents another 25-30 associates who take direction from this product team.

What’s unique about this role?

This role requires very strong collaboration and communication skills, leadership to set the vision for the product offerings, as well as strong financial acumen to understand the investment and returns of the development efforts.
