Position Description
We are looking for a Product Manager to join Pani’s product team, reporting to the CEO. You will be responsible for leading the product development process, collaborating with engineering, data scientists, process modelers, and subject matter experts to shape and execute the product vision. As a Product Manager, you will define the product roadmap, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure our platform delivers value to a diverse group of international customers.
You will play a crucial role in defining product strategy and driving product success from ideation to launch. Your ability to balance customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility will be key to ensuring the continuous evolution and success of our platform.

What You Bring to the Team
•University degree in engineering, business, or a relevant equivalent experience
•5+ years of experience in a product management role, ideally in a SaaS environment
•Strong understanding of the full product development lifecycle, from concept to delivery
•In-depth knowledge of agile processes and principles
•Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products on time
•Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
•Strong strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities
•Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
•Commercial Acumen & Pricing: Strong understanding of value creation and value-based pricing in enterprise SaaS. Knowledgeable in structuring monetization strategies, driving expansion, and optimizing retention.
•Enterprise SaaS Fundamentals: Deep experience in product-led growth, customer adoption, and go-to-market alignment.
•Design & User Experience: Ability to engage in hands-on design work with strong design sense and capability to prototype quickly using AI tools.
•Decision Support, IoT, & Industrial Tech: Experience with decision support analytics, IoT sensors, gateway devices, and familiarity with data-heavy industrial applications.
•Technical Adaptability: Comfortable learning technical concepts quickly and applying them effectively, without needing an engineering background.
•Customer Insights & Rapid Iteration: Works with CS and sales to gather insights, lead cohort testing, and implement phased releases for product adoption and customer success.
•Execution Speed & Decision-Making: Strong sense of prioritization, with an ability to know when to ship fast vs. refine further.
•Market & Competitive Intelligence: Works with sales and CS to analyze market gaps and define product positioning, pricing strategy, and sales enablement materials.
•AI & Automation Mindset: Uses AI tools and low-code tools for automation, prototyping, and market insights to speed up development.
•Outcome-Driven & Metrics-Focused: Focuses on business outcomes to drive adoption, revenue, and retention with data and analytics to validate decisions and track impact.
Responsibilities
•Lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in collaboration with the Director of Product and cross-functional teams
•Define and prioritize product features based on customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility
•Manage the product lifecycle, from ideation and requirements gathering to development and post-launch iteration
•Develop and maintain detailed product documentation, including roadmaps, user stories, and product requirements
•Act as the voice of the customer, advocating for their needs and ensuring alignment with product objectives
•Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and data science teams to ensure smooth product development
•Monitor product performance and drive continuous improvement based on feedback and analytics
•Own product metrics and KPIs, ensuring they are aligned with the company’s strategic goals
•Build relationships with stakeholders and users to gather insights and ensure the product evolves in line with market needs

•Experience in the water industry, particularly water/wastewater treatment

Compensation
Pani offers a competitive total rewards package, which includes comprehensive health & dental benefits and paid time off. The annualized base salary range for this Victoria-based role is CAD $90,000 to $125,000.
