Valaurum is growing rapidly, and we are looking to hire a full-time Production Manager to supervise our second shift (1:15pm-9:45pm) team and drive continuous improvement. The Production Supervisor will supervise both the print production and metal manufacturing departments in order to ensure policies and procedures are followed. This position reports to the Manufacturing Plant Manager. This is a supervisory position.
Responsibilities
•Lead a team of union manufacturing technicians and operators
•Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations
•Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
•Be responsible for production output and product quality
•Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
•Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
•Maintain compliance with FDA, OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.
•Conduct safety training and guide maintenance team in safe operating practices in accordance with OSHA standards
•Implement engineering changes, oversee production quality, and facility improvements.
•Coordinate logistics to ensure parts, personnel and supplies marry together, ensuring repairs are completed quickly and minimizing impact to ship schedules
•Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
•Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop production staff
•Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime
•Commit to plant safety procedures
•Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
•Address employees’ issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreements
•Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concept
Requirements or equivalent experience
•BS degree in Business Management or related field, or equivalent experience
•Proven work experience in manufacturing
•Proven managerial experience
•Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
•Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
•Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
•Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
•Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•Strong regard for product quality and safety standards.
