Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing project finances, ensuring alignment with budgets, forecasts, and schedules for solar EPC, BESS, and related energy infrastructure projects. This role requires a results-driven professional with strong analytical skills and a commitment to delivering projects on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities: Operate with Integrity and Accountability:

•

Maintain accurate and timely reporting on project performance.

•

Own the accuracy of cost tracking and financial documentation.

•

Enforce adherence to budget parameters and cost controls across the project lifecycle.

Financial Planning And Cost Management

•

Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to establish project budgets and forecasts.

•

Monitor actual costs vs. budget, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions.

•

Prepare financial models, cash flow reports, and forecasts to support decision-making.

•

Track project expenditures, including labor, equipment, subcontractors, and materials.

Project Controls And Reporting

•

Implement and maintain project controls, systems, and procedures.

•

Develop dashboards and reports to provide visibility into project health and key metrics.

•

Manage change orders and assess financial impacts promptly and accurately.

•

Support audit readiness with proper documentation and compliance tracking.

Stakeholder Coordination

•

Partner with Finance, Estimation, Procurement, and Field teams to ensure data consistency and financial transparency.

•

Participate in project meetings to provide financial insights and support strategic decisions.

•

Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders on financial updates, risks, and opportunities.

Systems And Process Optimization

•

Use ERP and project management tools to track performance and drive efficiencies.

•

Identify opportunities for process improvements in budgeting, reporting, and cost control.

•

Standardize reporting formats and financial workflows for consistency and scalability.

Risk Management And Forecasting

•

Monitor financial and operational risk indicators and work to mitigate potential issues.

•

Provide forward-looking insights to ensure alignment with Company financial goals.

•

Support scenario planning and contingency analysis as needed.

Accountability, Growth, And Adaptability

•

Assume full ownership of project financial health and deliverables.

•

Continuously assess and refine project control methodologies.

•

Ensure alignment with LightEdison's strategic priorities and financial benchmarks.

Qualifications

•

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

•

Minimum of 5 years of experience in project controls or cost management, preferably within Energy, EPC, or construction industries.

•

Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with attention to detail.

•

Proficiency in project accounting software, ERP systems, and Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, etc.).

•

Familiarity with industry-specific tools such as Procore, Sage, or Salesforce is a plus.

•

Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

•
