Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Yellowknife, NT. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry regulations. You will manage project teams, contractors, and stakeholders while maintaining strong communication and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a background in water and wastewater systems, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successful project management.

Responsibilities
•Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of water and wastewater projects, ensuring they meet scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.
•Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, and risk management strategies.
•Oversee and manage project teams, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
•Monitor project performance, address issues, and adjust plans as needed to stay on track.
•Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
•Manage contracts, vendor relationships, and project financials, including cost tracking and change order approvals.
•Provide regular updates and reports to clients and senior management, addressing client needs and expectations.
•Lead project teams, ensuring development opportunities and clear role definition.
•Implement sustainable practices and manage health and safety protocols across project sites.
•Job-related travel is required
Skills
•Minimum 5 years of project management experience in the water and wastewater industry.
•Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and environmental compliance.
•Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams.
•Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, FastTracks, Microsoft Office) and AutoCAD (preferred).
•PMP, CCM, or similar project management certifications are preferred.
•Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
•Knowledge of safety protocols and risk management practices.
•Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s degree or additional certifications a plus).
