Position Overview
As the Purchasing and Facilities Supervisor, you will oversee procurement activities, vendor relationships, inventory control, and facilities management. You will play a key role in coordinating with vendors, guiding day-to-day operations, and ensuring alignment with established procedures and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement
•Support purchasing strategies aligned with Cooperative goals and RUS requirements.
•Monitor inventory levels and document transactions using ERP systems.
•Identify and evaluate suppliers to maintain a cost-effective and reliable supply chain.
•Assist in contract negotiations and vendor coordination.
•Prepare project specifications, bid packages, and award contracts.
Facilities Management
•Assist in managing maintenance and capital budgets.
•Oversee upkeep of buildings, facilities, and grounds for safety and compliance.
•Supervise storeroom and yard operations, including material handling and storage.
•Monitor performance of janitorial and groundskeeping contractors.
•Manage interactions with tenants of Cooperative-owned properties.
Other Duties
•Prepare inventory reports as needed.
•Provide after-hours support during emergencies.
•Supervise inventory tracking for all assets.
•Ensure professional relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; purchasing certification preferred.
•3–5 years of progressive experience in purchasing (utility or electric distribution experience a plus).
•Strong vendor management, inventory control, and project management skills.
•Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
•Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
•Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel.
Physical Requirements
•Medium work: lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
•Involves standing, climbing, crawling, and exposure to hazards and weather conditions.
•Use of personal computer and typical office equipment required.
•Ability to analyze data, manage projects, supervise staff, and work under pressure.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
