Quality Inspector
Key Responsibilities:
•
Inspection & Testing:
•
Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of fabricated metal parts and assemblies.
•
Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, height gauges, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).
•
Verify weld quality, surface finish, and material conformity.
•
Quality Control Documentation:
•
Maintain inspection records, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and quality checklists.
•
Ensure traceability of materials and components.
•
Prepare quality reports for internal use and for clients, if required.
•
Compliance & Standards:
•
Ensure products meet applicable industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME, AWS, API).
•
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications.
•
Process Improvement:
•
Identify areas for process improvement to reduce rework and scrap.
•
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
•
Final Product Approval:
•
Perform final inspections before dispatch.
•
Participate in customer inspections and audits when needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
•
Education:
•
High school diploma or technical diploma in mechanical or manufacturing disciplines.
•
Certifications in welding inspection (e.g., AWS Certified Welding Inspector) are a plus.
•
Experience:
•
2–5 years of experience in a similar role within a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
•
Technical Skills:
•
Proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications.
•
Strong knowledge of measurement tools and inspection techniques.
•
Familiarity with ISO standards and quality systems.
•
Attention to detail.
•
Strong communication and documentation skills.
•
Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 50 per week
