Quarry Supervisor (Night Shift)

POSITION SUMMARY: Manage the day-to-day production activities of the mine by providing direction and leadership to assigned work group. The Quarry Supervisor serves as a liaison between plant management and the hourly workforce while ensuring that daily / shift goals related to safety, quality and productivity are consistently met. The Quarry Supervisor is also accountable for ensuring that their work team is adequately trained and prepared to perform their tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:

Employee Relations* Ensures effective employee / team relations. Provides employee coaching and development. Makes employment decisions, Resolves employee issues through problem resolution.

Performance Measurement / Management* Provide structure, direction and feedback to production team

Perform other duties as assigned ATTRIBUTES:* Good leader or supervisor experience is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:* Must be physically able to perform work assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:* High School Diploma or GED. AA degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or technical-related field or equivalent work experience in the field is desired.

PREFFERED EDUCATION:* BS Degree in Engineering, Geology, or related field.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:* A minimum of 2-4 years of previous project leader or supervisory experience in a heavy union or non-union fast-paced manufacturing, construction, and/or mining/mineral processing environment is highly desired.

PREFFERED EXPERIENCE:* Previous Leadperson, Forman, Team Lead, Control Room Operator, QC Technician, Maintenance Planner. Previous internship project experience is a plus. Previous mining experience with a good understanding of production operations or similar manufacturing operation is a plus.
