Railcar Lead

The Rail Load Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the railcar loading and unloading operations at a facility or terminal. The role involves ensuring that all rail operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and customer requirements. The Rail Load Lead will supervise a team, manage schedules, inspect equipment, and ensure that shipments are accurately documented.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Schedule and coordinate railcar loading/unloading activities to meet shipping deadlines. + Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, warehouse, and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations. + Conduct regular safety meetings and training for team members. + Perform safety inspections on railcars, loading equipment, and track areas, addressing any hazards promptly. + Maintain and enforce adherence to OSHA and other safety standards. + Optimize the loading process to reduce waste, minimize downtime, and ensure cost-effective operations. + Maintain accurate records of loaded and unloaded railcars, product inventory, and any operational issues. + Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure all equipment is in good working condition. + Report and track any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs. + Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on rail operations, including production metrics, safety incidents, and delays. + Provide updates to management regarding operational performance and improvements. + Conduct inspections of shipments for accuracy and quality, ensuring customer satisfaction.
