About This Job

SCOPE:

The Refinery Technician will report to the Plant Manager, you will work closely with Refinery personnel and serve as a liaison. You will work closely with the Bellingham Commercial Team for the purpose of scheduling, billing, purchasing, and support. You will be performing various industrial services as directed by the refinery personnel in warehouse including but not limited to inventory, bottle filling, filtration, building and assembling equipment, installing equipment, tote consolidation, dehydrating, cleaning, flushing, and more. all while maintaining positive image with customers.

SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES & DELIVERABLES

•

Ensure refinery satisfaction with Christensen products and services

•

Meet with customer to assess, recommend and review services

•

Carry out various industrial services such as delivering, filtering, dehydrating, flushing, etc.

•

Respond and mobilize quickly for customer emergencies

•

Simple mathematics will be required

•

Tank filling, bulk oil deliveries, change filters, filling cylinders etc.

•

Clean warehouse for the purpose of maintaining a safe and sanitary work area

•

Follow all environmental and safety policies

•

Report on projects, plans, costs and margins

•

Track time and materials

•

Ship and receive stock items, quantity and quality of repairs are correct

•

Inventory materials and parts

•

Deliver equipment, parts, machinery to jobsite

Responsible for maintaining complete and accurate records for accounting and billing

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

•

BA/BS Degree in mechanical engineering or similar experience

•

Strong understanding of mechanical design and function

•

Forklift experience

•

Capable of working long hours in harsh conditions

•

4+ years of experience in petroleum, chemical or fluid management

•

Work well under pressure and meet hard month, quarter, and yearend deadlines

•

Highly organized with outstanding communication skills

PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS

•

Able to lift, hold and/or carry up to 75lbs

•

Able to bend, kneel, lean as needed to accomplish tasks

•

Able to rise early, drive to various destinations, work late and safely drive back home.
