Are you looking for a new role as a Regulatory Compliance Advisor? In this role, you will be responsible for providing regulatory support to commercial transactions with a specific focus on the US Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Renewable Fuel Standard program and ensuring compliance with reporting & verification requirements of applicable fuel standards and regulations, Working directly with stakeholders in Trading, Supply and Environmental Commodities, the role will involve providing regulatory advice to the Biofuels Co-Led Trading and Marketing team on commercial transactions. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely data gathering for preparation and submission of required reports. The role reports to Director, Environmental Commodities and will also be accountable to Manager, Compliance & Credit Management in Environmental Commodities.

Minimum Requirements:* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in reporting, compliance management, data analysis, or a related field. Prior experience in Supply & Trading would be an asset.
Knowledge of EPA’s Renewable Fuel Standard program and related regulations is not a pre-requisite, but an asset
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities:* Gather and analyze data on the import and export of fossil and renewable fuels to ensure compliance with RFS requirements

Prepare and submit quarterly and annual reports to the EPA, ensuring all data related to fuel exports and imports is accurate and submitted on time
Where necessary, the incumbent will also provide support to fuel reconciliation process as part of other Canadian and US federal and/or provincial fuel regulations
Coordinate internal and external audits related to RFS compliance for fuel exports and imports
Gather and analyze data on the import and export of fossil and renewable fuels to ensure compliance with RFS requirements

Location and other key details:* This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.

Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
