What You’ll Do

As the Asset and Reliability Engineer for Dyno Nobel Americas, you will support Emulsion Network, Nitrogen plants, and IS plants regarding product quality, plant reliability, preventative maintenance procedures and planning, and process improvements. Other duties will include:

•

Perform equipment criticality assessment to prioritize maintenance plans at the plants.

•

Maintain parts management system with specific attention to critical spare parts, mitigating risk of downtime at plants.

•

Incident investigation support and development of engineered solutions for equipment and safety

•

Support fleet/mobile processing units build process and project management with specific interest in standardization of equipment.

•

Perform Root Cause Analysis and drive corrective actions

•

Work with manufacturing and operational sites across North America to increase reliability and institution of preventative maintenance procedures and schedules

•

Administer data management for preventative maintenance and plant equipment performance for use in sustenance planning

•

Ability to make data-driven decisions that will improve processes and procedures, mitigating the risk of downtime at production plants

•

Manage contingency plans (equipment related) for operational sites and facilitate the maintenance parts management program (including ongoing assessments of parts criticality and stocking strategy

•

Standardize equipment, procedures, quality and other equipment and process aspects across the emulsion operations

•

Work with procurement department for beneficial sourcing options and cost-efficient solutions, mitigating supply risk and enabling strategic sourcing

•

Conduct and participate in incident investigations and provide engineered solutions for equipment and safety that could be incorporated, or standardized across the business to increase the level of hard controls

What We’re Looking For:

•

BS degree in mechanical/chemical engineering

•

5+ years in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment

•

Experience working in a chemical and/or petrochemical plant preferred

•

Experience with fleet and/or mobile equipment maintenance support

•

Experience with maintenance lifecycle management and computerized maintenance management systems

•

Familiarity with schematic drawings for troubleshooting at plants or equipment

•

Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
