Roofer

AK Certified Roofing is seeking hard-working and reliable Roofing Laborers to join our installation team. You’ll assist with tear-offs, prepping, loading, and installing roofing systems, primarily shingle and tile. We’re looking for individuals who are comfortable working at heights, can handle physically demanding tasks, and are eager to grow with a top-tier roofing contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in removal and replacement of shingle and tile roofing systems

• Load and stage roofing materials on roofs (shingles, tile, underlayment, etc.)

• Prep roof surfaces and help lay underlayment and flashings

• Set up ladders, harnesses, and safety gear properly

• Help with cleanup and debris removal after jobs

• Use hand and power tools (e.g., nail guns, hammers, cutters) safely

• Support lead roofers and crews with daily tasks

• Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols

Requirements:

• Prior experience with roofing labor or general construction preferred

• Comfortable working on high-pitched roofs and in hot weather

• Able to lift 50–80 lbs repeatedly and work outdoors all day

• Willing to learn proper installation techniques for shingles and tile

• Valid driver’s license is a plus

• Must be dependable, punctual, and work well with a team
