Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team at XCharge North America. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in selling Energy Storage Systems and grid utility devices equipment to commercial and utility customers. The primary responsibility of the Business Development Manager will be to drive new business and secure procurement orders for ESS and DCFC installations.


Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, potential clients, and emerging trends. This involves analyzing industry data, competitor strategies, and customer behavior to pinpoint areas for growth and development.
Generate leads and build a network of potential clients and partners through various means such as cold calling, email campaigns, networking events, and social media outreach. Identify and qualify prospects to determine their suitability for the company's products or services.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients, partners, and industry contacts. This involves regular communication, follow-up, and providing excellent customer service to strengthen business relationships and foster repeat business.
Collaborate with the senior management team to develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy. This strategy should outline target markets, pricing strategies, sales tactics, and partnerships that will drive growth and revenue.
Participate in the negotiation and closing of deals, contracts, and partnerships. This includes crafting proposals, understanding client needs, and ensuring that the terms and conditions of agreements are beneficial to the company.
Leverage knowledge of solar PV systems, battery energy storage, and utility-scale or C&I renewable energy solutions to penetrate key market segments.
Stay abreast of regulatory incentives, interconnection standards, and funding mechanisms impacting solar and ESS projects to position the company competitively.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience will be considered).
Proven experience in selling Energy Storage Systems (ESS), electrical infrastructure, and grid-interactive devices is a plus.
Demonstrated success in consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets within the energy, cleantech, or hardware industries.
Deep understanding of the energy landscape, including renewable energy, EV charging infrastructure, battery energy storage systems, and grid utility technologies.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Highly self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented with a proactive, “go-getter” mindset.
Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites, partner locations, and industry trade shows or conferences.
