Senior Electrical Engineer

```Job Summary```

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, and developing electrical systems for Oil&Gas and Power Utilities. This is a full-time contract position with opportunities for career growth.

```Duties```

- Design and develop LV and MV electrical distribution system. Design of HV electrical system and Protection & Control Panels would be an asset.

- Prepare Electrical drawing packages including plot plan, area lighting, hazardous area classification, electrical & instrument layout, grounding layout, single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, motor control schematic, EHT, PLC/DCS, and cable schedules.

- Perform electrical system design using ETAP.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

- Proven organizational skills and be able to meet deadlines.

- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.

```Experience```

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and registered as a P.Eng. with APEGA or EGBC

- Minimum 10 years of Electrical Engineering experience in Oil & Gas or Power Utilities

- Expertise with design of Gas Plants and Well Pads in Western Canada

- Proficiency in Canadian Electrical Code, familiarity with Canadian Building Code, and other relevant Codes and Standards

- Modular E-Houses / Pump-Houses would be an asset

- Ability to review vendor shop drawings such as Switchgear, Motor Control Centre, Variable Frequency Drive, UPS, PLC, Power Transformer, Protection & Control Panel, Communication Network Cabinet, Electrical Heat Trace, Fire & Gas System, and Building Automation System

- Proficiency in ETAP and other relevant software

- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices

- Familiarity with CAD software for electrical design

- Proficiency in Office 365
