Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring that our supply chain operates efficiently and effectively. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including vendors and internal departments, to meet the company's purchasing needs.
Duties
•
Manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.
•
Oversee contract negotiations and renewals with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
•
Coordinate procurement activities, including sourcing, ordering, and inventory management.
•
Utilize MRP systems to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
•
Implement and maintain procurement management processes to enhance operational efficiency.
•
Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of purchasing activities into overall operations.
•
Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
•
Prepare reports on purchasing activities, inventory levels, and supplier performance for management review.
Skills
•
Proficiency in vendor management and supplier management practices.
•
Strong understanding of contract negotiation and procurement processes.
•
Experience with supply chain management principles and practices.
•
Familiarity with MRP systems; experience with SAP or Oracle EBS is a plus.
•
Excellent inventory management skills to maintain optimal stock levels.
•
Strong analytical skills for evaluating supplier performance and procurement metrics.
•
Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
•
Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
