About This Job

Pico Propane is looking for a pro-active and driven Service Coordinator to join the team at our Fort Lauderdale location! The Service Coordinator plays a key role in efficiently managing service appointments and new construction projects, in addition to keeping systems up to date with accurate and current information.

A successful Service Coordinator should have strong interpersonal communication skills with a customer first mindset, and be highly self sufficient and goal oriented.

Duties/Responsibilities:

•

Organizes, schedules and dispatches appointments for service requests

•

Interacts with customers via telephone, email, or in person to communicate and coordinate service schedules and ensure appropriate actions are taken to resolve customer concerns

•

Maintains and manages customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments

•

Ensures work orders are posted and accounts are billed correctly and in a timely manner

•

Manages new construction installs and projects by scheduling site surveys with detailed documentation providing the install plan; ensuring all materials are prepped for the job; keep up to date with each project file; and maintain Cargas accounts by monitoring the system at least weekly

•

Collaborate with the permitting department to streamline the scheduling process for new installations, maintenance, and other projects requiring permits

•

Manages the work with subcontractors and ensures correct and timely billing

•

Monitors inventory levels, including tank monitors, and submits requests for additional supplies to Plant Manager

•

Performs other related duties as assigned

Skills/Abilities:

•

Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills

•

Service-oriented and able to resolve customer concerns

•

Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software

•

Attentiveness and patience

•

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite to include Excel and Word

•

Experience with Cargas system a plus

Education and Experience:

•

High school diploma or equivalent

•

Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience

•

Experience in the oil and propane industry (preferred but not required)

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, using a phone, and working on a computer

•

Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds as needed

•

Must pass pre-employment screening and background check
