Service Technician - Gas Specialist

Michigan Gas Utilities delivers natural gas to customers in southern and western Michigan.

MGU, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Service Technician - Gas Specialist in our Coldwater, Michigan location.

This position’s starting pay begins at $27/hr. The starting pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.

Job Summary

Perform duties to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the natural gas distribution system including leak investigations, set and turn on domestic meters, leak repairs, odorant checks, periodic meter changes, install/remove domestic regulators, locating underground gas lines, leak surveys, meter reading, light up of appliances and delinquent account tagging at customers residences. On call/standby 24X7 on a rotating basis.
