Job Type: Industrial Administration
Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping/Receiving and Warehouse Assistant to support our logistics operations. This role involves managing transportation and warehouse activities, ensuring efficient shipping and receiving processes, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, particularly in Excel, and be comfortable working in both office and industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Assist in the management of shipping and receiving operations, including the preparation and processing of shipping documents.
•
Coordinate transportation logistics to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods.
•
Maintain an organized warehouse environment, including inventory management and stock control.
•
Utilize Excel and other software tools for data entry, reporting, and analysis related to shipping and receiving activities.
•
Monitor and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards in both office and warehouse settings.
•
Support the team with administrative tasks, including filing, record-keeping, and correspondence.
•
Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to resolve issues and streamline processes.
Qualifications:
•
High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics or supply chain education is a plus.
•
Proven experience in shipping and receiving, logistics, or warehouse management.
•
Strong computer literacy, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
•
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
•
Ability to thrive in both office and industrial environments.
•
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
