Shipping and Receiving Lead

The Shipping and Receiving Lead ensures seamless processing of outgoing shipments and incoming items. The Shipping and Receiving Lead understands the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of outgoing items. This individual must load shipments regularly, with the capability of repetitive heavy lifting, and use any necessary equipment. The Shipping and Receiving Lead will be required to schedule freight appointments.

Responsibilities:

· Shipping/Receiving

· Verify items and quantities on packing slips

· Match product with shipping orders

· Prepare and schedule shipments as assigned

· Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required

· Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for

reporting and tracking

· Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments

and deliveries

· Sort, stock and cycle inventory

· Keep warehouse clean and orderly

· Assemble pallets for large orders

Qualifications:

· Significant experience in Logistics/Shipping/Receiving required

· Basic mathematical skills

· Attention to detail in all areas of work

· Organized, tidy and detail oriented

· Able to adapt and solve problems quickly

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Quickbooks

· Able to work in a fast-paced environment

· Must have computer skills and typing experience

· Experience using a forklift

· Ability to multitask, effectively manage time and meet deadlines

· Lifting or moving up to 70lbs is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
