Shop Technician

Job Description As a Shop Technician, you will increase levels of customer service by performing preventive maintenance and making general repairs on equipment as needed in the most effective and cost-efficient way possible to avoid down time. You will perform shipping and receiving duties, assist with inventory tracking and general shop maintenance as directed.

Duties & responsibilities * Service equipment in order to maintain and exceed customer expectations and prevent unnecessary downtime * Keep available equipment in good working order and in presentable condition * Ship and receive equipment as needed * Assist with loading and unloading of equipment as needed * Ability to diagnose simple mechanical equipment problems * Perform safety inspections on equipment and maintain a clean and safe work environment

* Keep equipment inventory and maintenance list updated

* Effectively communicate equipment issues with management

* Ensure that equipment meets all company, governmental and equipment-specific safety and certification requirements * Other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor

Qualifications * 1 to 2 years’ experience with Flow Back Iron, Light Plants, Air Compressors & Pressure Washers and other Oil Field equipment strongly preferred * Ability to effectively and safely use mechanic's tools and equipment to diagnose and trouble shoot equipment problems * Ability to communicate equipment issues and understand job assignments * Ability to prioritize work assignments * Personal and professional integrity * Exhibit a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety * Flexibility regarding work assignments

* Ability to take 24hr call as scheduled

* Basic knowledge and use of office equipment and computer skills (Microsoft Office)

* Must be physically able to work in a job site environment for extensive periods to include lifting up to 50lbs, bending, squatting, crouching, and reaching

* Company will provide any and all tools necessary to perform job

* Must be able to pass a Non-Dot Drug Screen and Physical

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
